K-Meleon Web Browser Forum
Greetings, can anyone help with this problem. I just downloaded K to my computer running windows xp. It downloaded ok and created a shortcut on my desktop but will not open the browser. Any thoughts
Make sure that Your firewall and or anti virus software allow K-Meleon to start.
Set the firewall into learning mode so that it notifies You that new software wants to start.
Maybe also try K-Meleon 1.6 beta2 which is never.
Location of full installer https://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/files/k-meleon-dev/1.6.0Beta/K-Meleon1.6.0_Beta2_en-US.exe/download
Needs VC 8 runtimes.
p.s. If You installed K-Meleon into a non standard location or chose the option for a single user (which is for Windows 98/ME or portable installs) make sure that You have full privileges for the install folder.
