I'm probably just missing something but is there any way to stay on the tab you're on when you open a new tab?

Possibly. sad smiley

When You right click on a link You have the option open in "background tab".

For other aspects F2 -> Browsing and Tabbed Browsing where You can change general settings.

I set mine to open in the background whenever I expect a wait.

So I am reading I open in background.

Opening a bookmark is set to background by default...

Or if you mean something like middle-clicking on links to open them in background (if you have a mouse), check here:

(sig) New unofficial K-Meleon 76.4 (KMG76.4) available, in own subforum.
