I know, this was already an issue some time ago, but at the moment I am unable to find a solution:
Since yesterday may KM opens minimized, and it is always a tiring procedure to get the window maximized. Only on tricky ways another sizes can be achieved, but the setting is lost when KM is restarted.
What can be done to overcome this?
Can this help?
F2 > GUI Appearance (top) > At Startup (right side 3rd tab)
try delete startupCache subfolder in your profile
if nothing helps, you can try this macro as a temp fix.
Unpack in macros folder. Restart KM. As always.

Trying everything possible I managed it to restore the normal behavior (not knowing what was the key) before I received your hints, so at the moment I am not able to test these hints. But for the next time...
My suspect is that some websites opening a cascade of additional smaller windows are the reason for this problem. Is there a way to prevent such "attacking" openings?

Open Browser Configuration (about:config) and change for dom.popup_maximum the default value to 3.
See if it helps.
