On Firefox (portable) you can put the FlashPlayerPlugin_versionNumber.exe & NPSWF32_versionNumber.dll on firefox_folder\Data\plugins (NPSWF)
and you have Flash Player working without install Flash Player.

The same on Chrome you can setup Flash Player with put manifest.json & pepflashplayer.dll on chrome_folder\PepperFlash (PepperFlash) to get Flash working.

So, that is the question, if possible, how setup flash player on K-Meleon without install Flash Player?

or

Profile\plugins (this can be done in Firefox as well)


If they don't exist, you could create the one needed.

Root directory, the topmost directory of a hierarchical file system.
In this case: K-meleon root\plugins = main folder: K-Meleon\ subfolder: plugins
The above is the standard/classic way.
However K-Meleon will scan for plugins during start-up (plugin.scan.plid.all) and will find them in other (sub)folders too.

I was not sure about root plugins folder working nowadays, but now I see.

AFAIK, plugin.scan.plid.all defines search in system folders. Setting it to false doesn't prevent KM from finding plugins in its own secondary subfolders (liке browser/plugins).

That's correct. I have plugin.scan.plid.all disabled myself.
I didn't meant plugins in its own secondary subfolders (liке browser/plugins) but system folders.

I'd like to watch CCTV, which needs Flashplayer. I installed NPSWF32_32_0_0_465.dll in browser/plugins, the plugin is recognised but it does not work.
Did I miss something? Is there another file to put somewhere?
I am on KM76.2.1-Goanna-20200822 (I have problems on youtube with more recent) working with wine on linux.

That version is too recent. Try version 32.0.0.303 ( http://kmeleonbrowser.org/wiki/FlashPlugin ). I'm not sure the best way to extract the dll though.

The final versions of Flash have expiration dates. Past their expiration date, they no longer function. Adobe did this to avoid any liability for companies still using their plugins after Adobe ceased support.

I'm using 32.0.0.371 without problems to date.

Check at Tools menu > Privacy (depending in your skin in toolbars too) that you are not blocking flash.

You should see a play button if you are blocking it instead of the flash app.

Also you should be able to whitelist for specific site too.

It seems to be a bit complicated on the (very very very) old computer I use these days.

When I install Flashplayer on it, Firefox (I use it sometimes) does not work any more. I tried flashplayer-28.0.0.161v2 and flashplayer-32.0.0.101. No way.

As I don't want to spent too much time on this problem, because I understood that Flashplayer is globally not used any more (I wonder why cctv goes on it), I resolved to watch cctv on the social network Weibo.
An it works perfectly, even using less memory than youtube (which is becoming terrible for old computers)

Anyway, thank you very much for your help. I love Kmeleon, even I have problems whith some sites (remain blank). But this is more a problem with the computer and the system itself which I can't update because the processor is too old.

if your computer is about or more than 20 years old, then it is truly time to find a used PC that is faster than your old computer and also time to part ways with & recycle that old computer

I use PCs (both desktops & laptops) that use at least dual-core CPUs (aka. Intel Core 2, AMD Athlon 64 X2, etc. - any CPU with SSE2 or better) and with at least 4Gb of RAM
