Accelerator keys in menus – macros aware?

Is there a way for a macro to become aware of whether the user has clicked in Preferences > GUI Appearances for keyboard accelerator to display in menus? I have not been able to find a user pref for that.

Is there some way for macro created accelerators to be included?

Just a guess, quick search in about:config of KM1.6
kmeleon.display.accelInMenus
