Can anyone help me fix this problem?

I run a Windows 7 Professional machine, 64-bit.
It doesn not have any malware.
It is updated with all updates from Microsoft.

I save all my web pages with K-meleon, so all my files are K-meleon files.
Every time I open a K-meleon file, K-meleon crashes. Every time.
I never had this problem with any other browser before I installed K-meleon.

K-meleon does NOT crash when I am browsing (surfing) on the internet.

I cannot find any help on this website or on the internet.
Can anyone help me fix this problem?

No crash here with the official build of K-Meleon 76RC2 on Win7, using the built-in options for saving web pages.
What branch of K-Meleon are you using? Any extension for saving web pages?

But if you use KM 75.1 the best you can do - update to KM 76 RC2 (or try KM 76 Pro)

rodocop, your bug report seems from a beta. Was it still happening in the final?

Nope. It definitely touches 75.1 final and no any build.

hmmm... cannot say precisely now... Cannot reproduce it now...

what is your OS lang? How do you proceed that openings exactly (File-Open, or double-click in file manager - and what one exactly, or drag-n-drop or etc.?)

please click Edit > Configuration > Profile Directory
then look inside file "version.ini":
which 33... number is inside?

a) Double-click with left mouse
b) Right-click, then open menu, then click OPEN

5509 is the final :-/
And when you a file from inside the browser it crashes too probably?
(File > Open, or CTRL+O)

What about creating new profile (Edit - Manage Profiles - New) and opening files in there?

What are local addresses of those files? May be some 'bad' symbols in paths?

I don't understand any of your thinking. I've been using computers for twenty years, and Windows filing is always the same with every other browser, including Mozilla Firefox...
...and I have been using Mozilla Firefox for more than ten years.
In ALL browsers...Chrome, Cyberfox, I.E.,Safari,Opera, it's always the same:

Go on the internet by launching browser.
Type in URL.
Go to web page.
Save web page.
Later,open the file.
That is all!
Is there no one who has ever tried to save a file while browsing in K-meleon, then opened it on a Windows computer?

Sure, but there are only very few people here, and personally we're using other versions these times - without that bug. Either older versions due to old system, or long since moved to KM76RC already.
Of course it's a bug. This talk is just about trying to figure out more details, perhaps any workarounds, but not much hope anyway.

I've downloaded K-Meleon 75.1 portable for testing on Win7.
It opens previously saved web pages fine. No crash.
For whatever reason, something at your end got messed up.
You can convince yourself by making a fresh portable install of K-Meleon 75.1 for testing.

Off topic, not related:
Generally it's best practice to always download the last stable release of a software which in this case is K-Meleon 75.1.
Unfortunately this doesn't apply in this case since the official stable release didn't got an update for a very long time.
K-Meleon 76 even so not a final release works fine and is of a more recent date. I'd recommend it.
