Discontinued?

It's been two years since we saw a new KM version out and i had to replace KM with the more resource hungry SM due to YouTube and other sites no longer loading or displaying properly.

Has this project come at an end? If so, this is dire news indeed for an old pc and XP user such as myself... I'm running out of alternatives when it comes to web browsing sad smiley

The last version was posted only 1 year ago. It just wasn't announced on the homepage because it was only "almost" finished and not yet declared "stable":
https://sourceforge.net/projects/kmeleon/files/k-meleon-dev/

A few little bugs in it were then fixed by rodocop's unofficial "Pro" build, together with some added custom addons, see links in his sig line.

And TADA - just two weeks ago an idenpendant developer started work on yet another unofficial build, but with a much more modern engine version inside, forked from Gecko by the Palemoon team:

This version looks very promising, proceeding currently at hyperspeed, and our official dev has already posted this may well become the next official build.

@siria

You're right! It was a year ago not two, my bad. I'll check the version you posted. Any recommendations for a pop-up blocker?

EDIT:

Well, it works great. Until i import my bookmarks, then...

and this:

and won't start :/

It opens once i delete my imported bookmarks in the profile folder.

I'm using K-Meleon 76 - Goanna 3.4.1 (without replacing the video decoder and mouse gestures)

Yeah, so far it's called a "test build", but roytam is really working very fast at it.
Please post your bug over there in the Goanna-thread!

As for popups, for the moment just try with less whitelisted events?

So which type of bookmarks you're trying to import? (IE/Netscape/Opera)
Could you please upload the "corrupted" bookmarks file so I can debug it?

@ roytam1

I'vre saved them again from SeaMonkey to HTML and re-imported. It works now with both your release and rodocop's. Must have been an import glitch?

And thank you very much for the fast reply and the hard work you are putting into this little fella!

I will keep on testing them and stay tuned if updates become available.

Cheers to all of you!
