I am not sure that I understand your problem. Can you provide a link to the page which has text link?

I tested by copying a link from another site and removed parts of it for a test.

Oh thanks, I'm getting my browsers mixed up!

I also use theworldchrome and with it you can highlight and drag a text url
a fraction to directly open it.

Is there any key combo or drag configuration that could open a txt url directly in K-M?

I don't like the added step of going into the rightclick menu.

I am not an expert on this, but mouse gestures plugin may have something to help. Use F2 to edit preferences and look under plugins > mouse gestures.

Sorry that I cannot test, but my old hands are too shaky to use gestures.

Unless I missed something, I only see gesture options to search for text
not open text url.

Feel free to define your own combo. Just add to your accel.cfg file in profile folder such a line:

CTRL SHIFT ALT VK_F12 = macros(Open_TextAsURL)

* - choose your own hotkey combining key names from here

** - get sure it doesn't conflict with predefined hotkeys
the best way is to try your desired combo in working KM - if it does nothing, then it possibly is free
