A new incompatibility

My favorite KM version K-Meleon 76 - Goanna 3.4.2 (currently Build 20181215) (with LAV filters) is working perectly, but now I discovered a new website which is not working in KM:

www.deepl.com/translator (a fantastic new online translator!!!)

The website has worked until recently, but suddenly no longer. In Edge it works normally. My attempts with UserAgent have not worked so far.

Any tips?

Hi!

No other KM user here who can confirm the problem with the DeepL site? (DeepL is a fantastic new online translator, you should use it!)

I know, there was a tip here in the forum how such problems with specific sites can be analyzed to find out which setting in the preferences could be responsible for it. Can someone repeat this tip?

Z.

The site uses Javascript that KM76 can't support:

Error: TypeError: M.define is not a function
Source file: https://www.deepl.com/translator

Thank you, siria!

Ouch, can that be, really??? Should this mean that there are 'relatively normal' (I suppose––at least in the sense that they work in other standard browsers) webpages which will not be displayable in KM???

How did you get the information you were reporting on?

I am finding more and more sites that KM is not compatible with sad smiley I'm using Edge, now, but waiting (hoping) that a new and improved version of KM will come out.

I find that k-m Goanna opens more sites than the official version, but I get around k-m's overall web page foibles by using the 'send page to' another browser.

Easiest way is to set up a hotkey combination rather than default right click menu. I use Ctrl+i to send to chromium

I edited the existing chrome.kmm macro using search and replace, but you can edit macro to browser of your choice

Then set the key combo in the kmm file (located in macros) and edit accel.cfg to the same

in kmm:
_Chromium_SetAccels{
setaccel("CTRL I","macros(Chromium_OpenPage)");

in accel.cfg:
CTRL I = macros(Chromium_OpenPage)
}

I use chromium for this because it loads faster on my netbook than official chrome, FF, Opera, vivaldi etc

Not sure why you set it 2x, one method should be enough.
Perhaps there's a conflict somewhere, the same keys already used for other functions?
