Passwords/settings save

Hi!

I want to save my K-Meleon profile, settings, bookmarks, usernames, passwords, because I want to reinstall my operating system.

How can I do it?
Is there a program, which do it or should I do manually?
If I do it manually, where can I find this files or data?

Thanks.

Such stuff is in your profile folder, just copy it, and later copy over the single files into the new profile folder which is created by a new KM installation:
Edit > Configuration > Profile Directory

But be aware not all user changes are inside the profile.
Changes at toolbar buttons are inside the program folder, also user-installed macros etc.

If you have enough space on disk, the best is to copy the whole program folder as backup, and later copy back what you wish. Also helps in case of crAshes.

you can install pfBackup addon which is preset to backup all needed files.

After install (just open this file in KM or drag-n-drop inside - and install it like addons in Firefox)

open about:addons page and open pfBackup options: (image clickable)

Now tick the 'Create a backup on startup' box (like shown on picture - blue arrow 3).

Restart K-Meleon.

Gotcha! Now you have daily-named zip-archive (with all files of your need) in the pfBackup subfolder in your current profile.

You are ready for transfer!

NB! Note that this set of files includes all browsing history, cookies etc. but not the webapp-data stored by sites.

Feel free check 'Select all' option if you need full copy of your profile.
