Hi all,
This is how I installed quick time and real player plugins into kmeleon.

Quick Time.
Exit kmeleon.Install quick time player from apple.com\quicktime\. Copy the files under C:\Program Files\Quicktime\plugins\ to C:\Program Files\k-meleon\plugins\.
To testtart kmeleon go to http://www.uriah.com/apple-qt/1984.html and you should see apples 1984 ad.

Real Player
Install real player on your netscape(6 or greater). Copy files nppl3260.dll and nppl3260.xpt from C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape 6\components to C:\Program Files\k-meleon\components.
To testtart kmeleon go to http://www.union.edu/RESOURCES/curriculum/tips/smil/embed.shtml. This should start a presentation from union college .

If some one can hack it , and find out how to mislead a plugin installer and let it install all the necessary files in k-meleon directory instead of netscape directories then it will make plugin installation automatic.

Am i just really lucky?! Quicktime, flash, shockwave, embedded realaudio/video, etc. have worked since the moment i installed k-meleon; I never had to move any files around. The only file in my k-meleon/plugins folder is npnul32.dll, which is installed with the browser as far as i can tell. Here's what doesn't work: streaming audio where realplayer has to be launched seperately (as opposed to being embedded). For example, go to: http://www.posterchildren.com/website/radiozero.html
Click on "stream" for any of the segments.
K-meleon tries to download the file instead of launching realplayer. Does your method solve ths problem?

The Real Player bit worked for me, but not the QT. First the page was unavailable. So I went to uriah.com. I located the files and when I clicked on it was asked to go to the Netscape plugins page and get the plugin. I have NS 6.2, apart from IE 6 and K-Meleon. I find K-Meleon the fastest of the lot.
