This problem started today. When visiting a password protected website K-Meleon crashes reporting a page fault in wallet.dll. Is there a fix; other than deleting wallet.dll and starting over.

BTW Netscape works fine and K-Meleon worked fine until today.

i wouldn't delete your wallet.dll unless you're sure it's corrupted, since i don't think it will magically regenerate without re-installing... at least copy it first.

i don't know if there's a convenient place to download it from.

you might just try deleting your sign-on file (the name of which is given in the prefs file... it has an ".s" extension, i believe...), which will cost you your saved login information, but may solve the problem...

I had a similar problem to this when I saved two different userid's/passwords for the same website.

How did you resolve it?

Renaming the sign-on file solved the problem. I opened it with a text editor and could find nothing wrong. ::shrug::

That's definately the problem, I had two usernames for a site, both were in the signon file.

I removed the second one and it no longer crashed.

Also when might this get built against 0.9.6?

Maybe sooner, maybe later. It depends on when the developers can get time to do it. Of course, anyone can do it at anytime themselves. I don't think we'll see a full release with 0.9.6. Expect that to happen when Mozilla 0.9.7 is released.

Nods, I just don't happen to have any compilers for Windows, except cygwin.
I run mainly FreeBSD or linux, but I'm forced to use one windows box at work.

I'll dig around I may find someone to compile it for me. ;>
