Thanks - sorry for late response

This macro looks to be for search engines

Maybe I should have said what I mean by url alias.

Instead of typing in url or searching with duckduckgo, google etc I want to type in one or two letters to open an url
example:
km to open http://kmeleonbrowser.org/forum/

This is in addition to hotlinks which i already use

Adding entries to bookmarks and setting up an alias.

Unless you need a lot of sites to add, bookmarks is the easy way to go.

Oh, that you meant!
Yeah easy, as John said already. Set a bookmark and fill in the "Nick" field.
PS: when adding %s somewhere in the URL, it will get replaced with the content of the urlbar (after the typed nick)
PS2: whole folders can get a Nick too. Will open all bookmarks in the folder.
