my experience is that K-Meleon does not keep pace with websites using complex and modern javascript techniques.

There are several sites that do not display properly anymore in K-Meleon, and I have to switch to Firefox.
(for example my online banking and DHL parcel tracking)
The problem seems connected with asynchronous loading of content with javascript.

I today tried with the newest build on Goanna, the problem is the same. (on Windows 7 and XP)

I have no overview on other inofficial KM versions, is there one that can display modern websites better?

Here a concrete example.

The following URL does not display properly:
https://www.dhl.de/de/privatkunden/pakete-empfangen/verfolgen.html?piececode=CP484478249DE

It should look like in this screenshot:

The area marked red on the attached picture is not displayed in latest KM Goanna.

Do you know or have a K-Meleon version that displays this URL properly like in this screenshot?

No version will fix a rendering issue but one with the latest engine. As so, the latest Goanna build:

If still the problem persists, you can only ask to roytam on its thread.


Remember, K-meleon, uses an older engine not compatible with some websites. It is as simple as that. Period.

Will the KM engine be updated in the near future?

Are the engine's updates only delayed, or is there a stop or limit concerning updates?

The engine is being constantly updated on roytam with the Goanna (PaleMoon engine) build, but it lags behind a few versions.

K-meleon hasn't the man muscle to be super-up-to-date to web standards, as so PaleMoon.
