Well, that happened by accident. I have Netscape 6.2, Mozilla 0.9.4 (?) and K-meleon on my system. When I set DAP for Netscape K-Meleon started recognizing it. Now it won't stop looking for it.

EVEN after cleaning the registry!

Heu... I suggest you to explore one more time the Preferences panel (Edit - Preferences). Your solution is perhaps in the Plugins tab, or other tabs.

At your suggestion I have done so. I can find no reference to dap.exe etc. in any of them. Either I am missing something or this is just weird.

Intriguing case. Did the uninstall remove absolutely every file?? Registry searched for all possible references every which way? I love these mysteries (always have a few of my own to work on)

It's still a mystery. Although I could find no reference to DAP in my preferences I deleted the JS file to start fresh. That seems to have worked. At least last night with one test K-Meleon did not search for DAP. Of course Fresh Download, my current default, did not come up either. It seems FD claims to integrate with IE and Netscape but doesn't know K-Meleon.

Yeah, that's the pimple on FD's nose, but I'm resigned to copy-n-pasting until something awesomer comes along. It doesn't do Opera either. Glad to hear you got the other thing fixed. Happy surfin.

Set FD to monitor the clipboard, that usually works. It's better than cut and paste.

Like a rotten apple. K-Meleon is searching for DAP again! I'll post any solutions I find. I'm also looking for suggestions.
