how do i get rid of "connection attempt to ad

Hi
I use a hosts file to block ads. Everytime I go to a website with K-Meleon 0.6 i get a dialog box saying "Connection attempt to ads.whatever.net was refused" or something along those lines. Is there a way to stop this dialog box from showing up? In IE6 or Opera I dont get any dialog box like this.

Are you using eDexter?

As long as it's sending the small blue gifs (read about it) no error messages appear.
