why have my fonts changed?

Logged on to check the forum only to find all the posts in a nearly unreadable font. What is happening, is it on my side somehow or has something changed on the site?

looks the same to me...
check this pref:
user_pref("font.name.monospace.x-western", "<put font name here>");
if it doesn't exist, you can add it; the font specified must be fixed-pitch, though (i.e., Courier, Andale, etc...).

Po, it is certainly not this site, it must be this computer. I don't understand what changed but something certainly did. I cut and pasted the user pref you gave me. Should the font name have the <> around it?

nope. just the font name, exactly as it appears when you select fonts in some other application, like notepad, for instance.

do you have a user.js file?
you can put prefs such as this one in that, and it will be automatically added to the k-meleon prefs each time k-meleon is started. just create a text file, add the prefs, and rename it user.js, and put it in the same folder as the prefs.js file.

I'll try the user.js file. Perhaps I could create a custom link to an email program with it? Anyway I got so disgusted I reinstalled K-Meleon, works fine now!
