I did all the plugin installs but it doesnt work. Will it be fixed in the next build? If I understand correct Media player 7.1 works with K-meleon0.6?

Oh sorry I forgot to add this... The exact same plugin works fine with Opera 6 and Mozilla 0.9.7+ nightly builds

WMP 6.4 should work with K-Meleon. Did you copy all the following files to K-Meleon\Plugins:

npdsplay.dll
npds.zip
npwmsdrm.dll
npdrmv2.dll
mpdrmv2.zip

WMP 6.0 and 6.1 work with K-Meleon for sure. Don't know about 7.1 - probably yes.

Brett,

What do you see when you enter about:plugins in the URL box?

No I only have
npds.zip
npdsplay.dll
npwmsdrm.dll

not the others you mentioned. (these are the only ones installed in the Media Player 6.4 directory.) Where do I get those ones? My system is Windows 95c so I cant run media player 7.1, where can I find 6.1 if thats where you get these?

Thank You

I think WMP 6.1 may be included in Win95 installation but I'm not sure (using Win98SE myself). If everything else fails, you may try to reinstall Media Player from Windows Setup, whatever the version is. This may be a Windows problem after all... This is just my opinion, though.

The following link is WMP plugin for Netscape that should be suitable for WMP 6.4
http://download.microsoft.com/download/winmediaplayer/nsplugin/6.4/WIN98/EN-US/wmpplugin.exe;
(You probably got the NS WMP plugin from there, didn't you?)

I am also not sure about the files npdrmv2.dll and mpdrmv2.zip. I don't have them myself in the plugins directory for WMP6.0 but the plugin still works in K-Meleon. However, if "drm" stands for "digital rights management" (as I am afraid it does), you may be even better off without those files.

yes I did get the WMP plugin from there. Can anyone give me a link to test out this plugin? The page I was using before which didnt work have taken the video offline (its a news site) as its too old now.

I think there were some Garbage videos on their website in WMP format, you can try http://www.garbage.com;

or if you cannot do that, try searching the web with a string "Media Player plugin required" or something like that.
