annoying popup windows

werd, i use the old "hosts" file trick to block out sites like ad.doubleclick.net by pointing them to localhost but in kmeleon (and mozilla) i get a little error popup window that says "cannot connect to <wherever>" everytime a page with ads tries to access a page i blocked out.

is there any way to disable these little popup windows? yawning smiley

Not currently. There is a bug filed at Mozilla on this.

http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28586

Also, someone posted that you can add:

user_pref("mozilla.has_bugs", false);

to prefs.js to stop this dialog. I haven't tried this yet but it might be worth experimenting.
