I guess the term "rebar" stands for "removable toolbar" which means that you can move the menu bar instead of being limited to stay at a fixed location. Please correct me if "rebar" means something else.

it means something else. exactly what it means, I dunno; but it's those toolbars that we have in k-meleon (and ie) that you can slide around rather than drag around (like in eudora)
