Images stopped showing up on K-Meleon. They all show up as they would if the image didn't actually exist. I've uninstalled and reinstalled K-Meleon a couple times now and still won't work. Anyone have any ideas. Maybe the source code got messed up? But where would I look?

Let me ask my usual first question: was this K-Meleon installed to a brand new empty folder, or was it installed over the top of a previous version? Is it the sole resident of its folder, or does it share the folder with anything else?

@tech, yes can be that - sorry i sometimes have senior moments , o )

@Jigen - as tech said: Prefs can be checked and altered via about:config plus enter or via config menue item - when there just type "image" in filter and have a look.

when You right click on anything that looks like advanced.always_load_images
You can alter behaviour to "true" - if it is set to "false".

I still hold with Guenter. Could be Privacy settings from like Privacy Bar or something---and then Privacy Bar got closed maybe? You can disable images from that and if you close bar and have "senior moments" like me you forget and wonder, "Now why is the browser doing this all of a sudden?" Uninstall and reinstall of browser would still leave those settings, yes? So if you re-install over a not-so-empty folder Privacy setting to keep images blocked would still be checked ON?

I think this is a possibility too. So go to "View/toolbars/Privacy Bar" I think it is in English (forgot to come here in English KM) and check the "Images" setting on that bar. Maybe that will solve your problem?

I think - all things must be looked after - it is for Jigen that he knows where he can have a look - naturally there are several places - (i gave the most likely that i could think of first - but this does not rule out that techs idea is good too - & more than on way leads to Rome ) regards

Ha well I feel dumb now. It was that privacy bar, images were blocked. I didn't even know that privacy bar existed. Wonder how the setting to block images got clicked... weird.

You might have pressed F9 accidentally.
