Will a P166 run K-meleon?

I have a P166

Will K-meleon run normal, and quick, on my P166?

I understand the Gekko engine needs a faster computer.

Thanks

Mike,

I've run on a Pentium 90 with Windows98. I think the real issue is RAM. I've run it on 40 MB of RAM and while it was slow to load, it ran fine once it was going. The more RAM you have, the better K-Meleon will perform.

I'm also running K-Meleon on my kids PC, it's a 166 mghtz Pentium with 128 MB's
RAM. I would agree with the above, RAM is critical, it also is helpful to adjust the
Windows VCache. I used bls Cache Tuner (freeware) and used the preset for a
slower system with minimal memory. This (and not keeping anything unnecessary
open while browsing) made K-Meleon entirely useable on that machine.

Hope this helps.... also responded w/ same message to acf (saw your post there first)
LOL

Regards, LD

I'm running K-Meleon v 0.6 on a 60Mhz Pentium with 64 MB ram.
It takes longer to launch than IE 6, but the browsing experience
is about the same.
