Search URLs not working?

If I type in the search query box

this is spaced <return>

I get in google

Your search - this%20is%20spaced - did not match any documents.

Now this only happened recently -- is it something with Google rather than K-M since I haven't change versions or anything still 0.6. Why is the "%20" being substituted these days? About a week or so ago it was not happening.

it's something with google and k-meleon.

there's a fix described in this thread:

I have a suggestion as an avid searcher that I think makes things alot easier. I use a bookmarklet . It allows for 2 choices....
-highlight a word or phrase ,then activate it
-call it up and enter your search term.

I use it constantly in KM without problem. The drawback is that it is javascript
which I know many don't like. Enter the following as the URL location in a new
bookmark. It should be all one big line (limitation of this forum, sorry):

========================================================================================================

javascript:q=document.getSelection();for(i=0;i<frames.length;i++){q=frames.document.getSelection();if(q)break;}if(!q)void(q=prompt('Enter text to search using Google. You can also highlight a word on this web page before clicking Google Search.',''));if(q)location.href='http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q='+escape(q)

=======================================================================================================

Replacing the default search with this is another option (I think), haven't tried it yet.
