"component missing"

When I click on an html file K-Meleon gives me a "component missing' error message, then opens the file fine. Why?

Norman,

In what context is that occurring? We need more details to diagnose the problem.

The context is simple enough.

A downloaded web page sits lonely and forlorn in my documents folder waiting for me to give it some attention. Tired of it's sniffles I double-click the icon to open it (thoughtfully I have set K-Meleon as my default web browser). K-Meleon faithfully comes running when I call. But wait! K-Meleon tells me a component or library of the file I want to open is missing! Yet when I close the error message box my lonely file is there waiting to be read!

I assume there is some fault in my settings. However I don't know enough to figure out what it is.

Thanks
NTP
