Hopefully someone can assist. I want to us Windows Media Player to play " .wma and .asf " files from hyperlinks on web site pages. This is very easy to do with Internet Explorer but does not work with Kmeleon. I entered the script in the "prefs.js" file like this - user_pref("browser.helperApps.neverAsk.openFile","audio/x-pn-realaudio,audio/x-realaudio,application/vnd.rn-realmedia");
user_pref("kmeleon.general.CloseDownloadDialog"",true);
user_pref("kmeleon.general.saveDir","C:\\temp\\");

The media just downloaded as code on the browser page. I saw "andy" had this mastered and wrote him, but I sure would appreciate help from anyone.

Actually, I think you don't need to modify prefs.js as what can be played with Media Player can be played directly with the plugin. However, there are some embedded types that the plugin cannot handle, not even in Mozilla or Opera.

I once wrote a text about using WMP in K-Meleon, including some test results and other advice.
