opening links in new windows

I'm quite used to doing a lot of browsing in IE5 mostly by keyboard for speed, tab'ing through links and opening them in new windows with shift-enter or a shift-click. Is there any way to replicate a quick method for opening a link in a new window like that in k-meleon? I've tried using ALT VK_ENTER = ID_OPEN_LINK_IN_NEW_WINDOW in my accelerators file, but that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions?

rather than try to get 'enter' to work in an accelerator combo, i just hit the context menu key, then 'n' for new window or (more often) 'g' for 'open in background'... if that helps any. smiling smiley

Right mouse click on a link. choose "open in new window" or "Open in background"
on pop-up menu. Or you can use the "File" menu just to open a new window.
Does that answer your rather broad question, Robbie?
I would like to use the keyboard more too, except when I have greasy food
in one hand... smiling smiley
