I find the acrobat plug-in to be relatively unstable, but acrobat standalone to work fairly well. Anyone know how to get k-meleon to launch acrobat as a seperate app when pdf's are downloaded rather than run them through the plug-in?

P.S. I appologize if this is not k-meleon specific and should have been posted elsewhere.

1) Remove the acrobat plugin from the K-Meleon plugin folder (nppdf32.dll)

2) Add this line to the K-Meleon prefs.js:
user_pref("browser.helperApps.neverAsk.openFile", "application%2Fpdf");
