Some time in the near future I plan to begin work on a new software wuite that I guess will be similar to MS Office. As a browser I've already settled on Mozilla based, but I don't really envey the task of rebuilding a new Mozilla UI that doesn't hog as much memory, therefore K-Meleon looks like a good place to start. Right now Ithe only parts I've found that I like are K-Meleon for the browser, and AbiWord as the word processor. I may still end up tearing Mozilla apart to get at the e-mail client(unless any one else know of a good open source one). I don't know what I'm going to do with PowerPoint and Excel compatibility, I really don't wan't to try and remove components of OpenOffice, that would probally be a bigger mess than Mozilla.

Try Suite602 for an alternative to Word & Excel.
