hmm...a tad complicated for me

i ended up using a bookmark to html converter for opera
found here:
http://www.searchengineworld.com/opera/bookmark_convert.cgi

but there's a problem i tried file->open the saved 57kb html file
and it took 90 seconds to open! i tried it again and it took 80.
opera brings the file right up.
i dont know why it takes so long.

The ways of Opera are mysterious. I did the HTML thing too (OOF!), and haven't got a really good edited version yet - it is so big and full of dupes and fluff. Thanx for the link. smiling smiley

Well, I've been the main developer of the bookmark code lately, and if it makes you feel any better, I just added "Import bookmarks from Opera" to my to-do list.

I should also say that it's relatively low down on a list that won't be touched for at least a few more weeks until I find time to start working on it again...

Wow...this all seems like a lot of work. But for a short and sweet fix for converting Opera, IE and Netscape bookmarks back, forth and sidewise, why not just download a very simple and small program to do it for you like Bookmark Priest? Just go here:

Hope this helps. You all seem to be having a lot of trouble with this.
