Speed of Mozilla Compatibility

I've noticed that Galeon already has a build out based on Moz 1.0 RC1. And generally, they tend to support a new build the day or the day after it comes out, while K-Meleon, um, takes a bit longer winking smiley

My question is, why? Is this due to the fact that Galeon requires Mozilla to be installed, while K-Meleon includes it? Is it that Galeon is Linux? Is it the K-Meleon just generally isn't finished?

Just wondering....

Actually it may be because the version of Moz that is used with K-Meleon has to be modified in different ways to work with the MFC interface.
Galeon, on the other hand, requires just the full installation of Moz, then it just calls on whatever components it requires.

yeah - i don't follow mozilla releases, so i don't know if the mfcembed version becomes available soon after the mozilla version it's based on or not, but that's probably what you should be looking at, as far as k-meleon is concerned.

plus, galeon, as a project, is a little more... umm... 'active', i believe.
