I noticed someone had a problem downloading from CNET and I followed the explanation which seemed to me to be specific to CNET.
The only problem I have with this is that I'm experiencing a generalized download problem with K-Me ver 0.6 build 547. I almost always have to use IE to download. Since I would like to do most of my browsing with K-Me this is very inconvenient.
FTP, http , it doesn't matter which method, I almost always have a problem with K-Me only to find that IE downloads the same with zero problems.
What normally happens is I'll click on a link and K-me appears to go one page forward then stalls out and just sits there. Frequently the link url including the file name will appear in the url but no download will progress. In IE no problemo downloads like butter on hot toast.
examples:
audiogalaxy from:
http://www.thedigitalresource.com/download.php?op=viewdownload&cid=9
Divx package from:
http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/new/graphics_and_multimedia/video/video_tools/DivX502Bundle.exeis this even a proper url? In any event download commences almost instantaenously in IE but hangs forever in K-me.
Please remember this is a generalized problem not exclusive to any specific sites I'm having this type of problem almost always when atempting to download through K-Me. At first I thought it might have something to do with my firewall, but on or off, it makes no differences, the final outcome is the same.
Anyone have any ideas?
