CGI Question

Can someone please explain to me why K-Meleon 0.6+ and Mozilla 1.x try to save the cgi file at the following link: http://www.monogram.com/selectionguide/cooking/professionalrange.htm

Click any of the JS links (6 Burners and Grill, 6 Burners and Griddle, etc.) and a new window opens with a "save as" dialogue.

These links work in IE 6 and Opera 6.x by the way.

Hmm. Netscape 4.7 displays the page as expected. KM 0.6.5 build 387 behaves as described above.

This is because the webadmin of that server didn't configure correctly the mime type returned when accessing the page. The mime type returned is "html/text" when it should be "text/html". As Moz and K-M strictly adhere to what they are told by the server and they don't know what is "html/text", they offer the possibility to save the page.

If you want more info on mime types, please read that thread.
