Profiles directory name random?

My profiles are stored in e:\programfiles\K-meleon\Profiles\ProfileName\ApparentlyRandomCharacters.slt. What is the significance of the apparently random characters?

To protect people from snooping your directories. It's a security feature of Mozilla.
