Bookmarks from Icon On Main Toolbar

Is there a way to have the bookmarks list drop down from an icon in the main toolbar? Just like the downward arrow symbol located to the left of the bookmarks toolbar when it's enabled. I don't use the bookmarks toolbar so I don't want to have to display the bookmarks toolbar just for that symbol. I've tried a simple macro pointing to the bookmarks plugin but all I get when I click the icon I have pointed to it is the configure bookmarks screen. I also don't have the menu visible so that I can save space and have the layers, main toolbar, and url bar on one line. Using the favorites plugin instead isn't an option for me since it takes too long for K-meleon to open when it's enabled.

Just put bookmark toolbar as first toolbar, in front of, say, menu bar. Then move menubar over bookmark toolbar so that it covers all folders, except doublearrow. Something like this: http://aab.spin.ee/img.misc/kmeleon/km-mini-bookmarkbar.png

Thats what I've been doing(see below), but I figured it was possible to use an icon in the main toolbar instead and I was just maybe too dumb to figure it out. It seems like this current method is a workaround. But anyway, it's not a major issue.

I don't think there's a user-configurable way to drop menus from toolbar buttons yet (unless this was added along with the 'checkable' buttons and not documented anywhere?).
