I have 0.6, 0.6 god-knows-which-build, 0.7rc1, 0.7rc and 0.7 installed nicely in different folders. All work as long as long as I don't try to run them at the same time. If you specify different folder duoring install, no files should get overwritten.

You should have different profiles for optimal behavior. I am not sure about this, but depending on what version of Mozilla you have, there may be problems, if you use the same profile. I would think, by analogy, that K-meleon would be similar.

KM doesn't use shared profiles (shared between versions, that is) as Mozilla or Phoenix do. KM is still one of those oldskool programs which keep everything nice and tidy in once place instead of spreading your stuff all over your drive. If you install KM into separate folder then it doesn't read or write profiles outside that folder. God bless devteam for this.
