hi,

is there a possibility to disable local file browsing (by entering file:///c:/ ) for K-Meleon?

Guido,

We've filed a request with Mozilla to disable this feature in the Mozilla code. I'll see if I can dig up the relevant bug.

Guido,

user_pref("network.protocol-handler.external.file", true);
works, but you cannot open any local file.

BTW: Your e-mail does not work with my provider :-(
