Safest maybe, but what a pain in the ass it is to surf the net that way. Have been on the internet since '96 and have never had a virus do anything even somewhat significant to my PCs(knock on wood). Just get a good firewall, an antivirus software that updates regularly, and use common sense as far as downloads, then you should be fine.
