Keyboard shortcut to close Ctrl+F

Firstly, thank you to Dorian for his efforts in redoing the board.
It's much appreciated.

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a keyboard shortcut to close
the Ctrl+F search facility?

the answer is yes.

Use the Escape key, ( most keyboards - Esc ) -- this will close the search bar.
