Weird Message from K-Meleon 1.1a2 Gecko 1.8.1

This may be weird only to newbies. Nevertheless here it is. My KM has about
30 profiles. I just uninstalled the old 1.0.2 and installed the new
K-Meleon 1.1a2 Gecko 1.8.1. Now the first time an old profile is opened a
message pops up. It says the old configuration cannot be used and that I
can either create a backup or discard it. But everything seems to work
fine on all the old profiles. So what does this mean? And does it matter
if I create backups or just click the button to discard? So far I have
said to create backups. But I do not see how that could be affecting
things. I do not even know where the backups are being placed.

Thanks everyone :-)

I think it just moves menus.cfg, macros.cfg, and accel.cfg to the subdirectory of your profile named "Backup".

Well, to simply find those files fast, you could use your Search (freeware Agent Ransack is better).

The other part I'm not sure about. (It sounds like one of those messages that are invoked from time to time as a result of our actions, but were not pragrammed in expectation of these particular actions, so might not carry much "real" meaning in this case.)

Thanks JK and Carson.
Pertaining to what JK mentioned does anyone know what this subdirectory does,
is for and how to use it?

Well, it contains the backup of your old config files. If you've never modified any of the *.cfg files, you don't have to worry about it.
