General discussion about K-Meleon. Questions about how to setup it, macro coding, all related to its usage and the project itself, including this website.
One of the features I investigated immediately when I first began testing K-M was the ability to configure where pages would open. I almost always want new pages from the URL bar, the search bar, bookmarks ,etc. to open in new tabs. I was pleased to find that K-M supported those options and let users decide how they want to surf without resorting to combining keyboard functions with mouse clicks.
But I find no such option for the Home button. That button opens the user's preferred home page in the current page/layer, and I find no way to open in a new page. Is there a configuration option to open the home page in a new page? I suspect a macro solution would suffice, but the macro must work with clicking the Home button and not through modifying the context menu options.
All I want to do is click the Home button and have my home page open in a new tab/layer. Possible?
Just paste this in a user macro module. (That's a text file with extension kmm placed in a subfolder called macros of your settings directory which is the profile directory by default.)
