HI!

I'm just testing the K-Meleon 1.02 Pro version. Everything is working fine except the flash: Websites that need flash (e.g. pirellical.com) cannot be presented properly as the browser indicates there is no flash plugin installed. Is there a remedy for that?

Have you installed the Adobe flash plug-in? You need to do so to play flash files.

You can download latest flash here:

The installation is too simply, it even looks like it has not really installed after executed the downloaded file. Just close the browser, install flash, and try again.

1.02 pro has only npswf32.dll so it is assumed that You have min. the player 9.x.

Just a simple question: Does there exist an English version of the xSMS integrated in the Russian version? And if so: How can I integrate it in the English Pro version. It looks to me as a very interesting concept.

English version of the xSMS exists, but it extension works only with russian mobile operators.

Just would like to know the difference between kmelon 1.02 and kmeleon 1.02 pro ?

It looks like VC 6 build;-) so it will work well ( better than normal 1.02 )
on older Windows systems.

Apart from that You can look at the fearture list which Quicksilver tears put into the new builds thread. But best: download and try it Yourself: More k-m more choice.

I like the build and big thx (spassiba to the Russian team that made it available in en-US!

p. s. Question @ Quicksilver tears did You also have to patch gklayout.dll for this build?

Another question I always wanted to ask: why is it that in some versions as K-meleon Pro the color menu in ajaxwrite.com is not shown (see picture) and in others such as K-Meleon1.1a2_1.8.1 (_CCF ) they are shown?

AFAIK: It can only be GRE specific because the rendering is done by that.

Or if we follow MRBuzzbuzz can have to do with OS. You can find out which by transfering a k-meleon.exe and the other k-meleon specific componets from an install that has color to one that does not have color.

thanks for this kmeleon 1.02 pro , it seems to work fine for the moment , otherwise i would like to know , when i launch a search in "search bar" , to open and display the layer automatically corresponding to my search ...?

i have to click on the serach layer to see it , note that for the url adress it works automatically ...

says that the searchbar plugin is set to open search results in the current window/layer as default. I have not changed any settings and my search results open in bg layers, which I don't want. I tried changing the preference in prefs.js but that had no effect. Neither did changing it in user.js. I'd like my searches to open in the current layer. Any help?

PS: using "about:config" brings up a string "layers(OpenURLBg)." What string should I use to change it to current layer?

I am new to K-Meleon. On windows 2000 this 1.0.2 will not open. It says
MSVCR71.dll is missing. I tried 98 SE and same problem. My win 2000
has all updates so what do I need and how do I do it? Thank you

Hi Adu, you need this files to run all KM versions:
msvcr71.dll
msvcp71.dll

You can download it from: www.dll-files.com

Copy this files in your system path (for example: C:\WINDOWS) or in your K-Meleon instalation folder.

more accurately, desga2:

better to put those two files in the C:\Windows\System\ folder when using Windows 95/98/ME. if using Windows NT4 or 2000, put them in the C:\WinNT\system32\ folder. for Windows XP users, put them in the C:\Windows\system32\ folder.

Kmeleon 1.02 pro worked great on my WinXP SP2 computer. will try it out on my WinME machine in my room.

If You place them in system/system32 You must register them. 4 most users k-m folder is good.
