^How or where to copy Ultra-Fast User.Js by Eyes-only?

How to easily disable/enable Javascript? Is there a site preference like in Opera?

Why is K-meleon's mouse gesture different from FF & Opera? (Works diagonally rather than Horizontal/Vertical)

Is it normal for the K-meleon pop-up blocker to not block alot of pop-ups?

How to re-enable K-Loader when closed?

Can anyone explain the difference between a macro and a userjs functionality for a n illiterate person of both?

1.) paste into user.js which is in used profile ( find it via submenu of Edit )
Remember that Eyes-Only used the connection of a server to browse.
You may need differnt settings - google Achilles firefox Tweaks when in doubt.
2.) Edit/Preferences/General/Javascript // no ( nowscript FFox extension ? ).
3.) Configure Gestures in Extended Perferences
4.) It is just as good as Firefox. Some new popup methods appeared recently.
5.) double click loader to start / why use it anyway?
6.) macro.cfg contains the macros that stand behind much of k-m functionality and r
called from menus. user.js overrides prefs.js and contains preferences which You can inspect in about:config.

7.) no idea
8.) no idea.

In addition to guenter's post:

Trailing, I guess you're using km 1.x.

How or where to copy Ultra-Fast User.Js by Eyes-only?
Copy the lines given in that post to your user.js file. Choose Edit > Configuration > User Settings to open this file. Paste the lines there, save your changes and restart km.

How to easily disable/enable Javascript?
Hit F7.

Is there a site preference like in Opera?
No. Except some inofficial versions with the NoScript extension built in (search the forum).

Why is K-meleon's mouse gesture different from FF & Opera? (Works diagonally rather than Horizontal/Vertical)
Km's mouse gestures are highly configurable. See Tools > Mouse Gestures...

Is it normal for the K-meleon pop-up blocker to not block alot of pop-ups?
Websites can use various techniques to show popups. The popup blocker cannot block all of them.

How to re-enable K-Loader when closed?
From your start menu (Start > Programs > Autostart).

Can anyone explain the difference between a macro and a userjs functionality for a n illiterate person of both?

Macros are unique to km. They are written in a special programming language and have special priveleges. Macros can do things that JavaScript can't. Macros can be invoked from km's menus and toolbar buttons or by keyboard accelerators. They cannot be invoked by websites.

As far as userjs functionality is concerned, well, that depends on what you actually mean:
- The file user.js is common to all Gecko browsers (Mozilla,FF,km,...). This file is located in your profile directory and is used to store browser preferences (like those by Eyes-only).
- User JavaScripts (bookmarklets) are something else. These are special bookmarks that apply JavaScript code to a page you're viewing. Bookmarklets are usually not browser-specific, they can be used with any browser that supports JavaScript.

Thanks. One other question:

Is the loader useless? What did guenter meant by that reaction?

Is the loader useless?
No, of course not (since I'm using it). It's just that its usefulness depends on your systems's power. On a slower system, the loader will noticeably accelerate km's startup. On a faster system, it may not. Try it yourself...

What did guenter meant by that reaction?
By my own experience, km's long-term users (such as guenter) usually reject the loader because they know it to be seriously buggy. Although these bugs have been fixed in the meantime, they've never changed their mind winking smiley

Do not believe kko - he is a dev that only uses the newest gear :p

p. s. Really?
It prevents me to switch to other versions fast ( fixed 2 for next version ).
Loading speed advantage is marginal on my sytsem. Dorian cannot fix that :-)

I feel, it is not worth to run the loader for me & it is a potential cause for problems to new users.

That is why i do not recommend it at all.

But I did not want to sound as if it is buggy - ifF ... - i would said it clearly.
