I've followed the instructions on how to install Adblock Plus yet I don't get the pop-up saying if I want to activate it when I restart the browser.

I looked in the K-Meleon directory and they all remained exactly where I put them, does it actually mean all files must be placed in the right directories?

Dont forget to delete the two dat files in components.

Files have to be put under the same directories as in zipfile.

What package have you used ? The build of 21/03.07 (multi-language) works, the previous works (en-US), but doesn't (fr-FR).

This is for 1.02.
You distribute them like in the layout. It will place:

chrome/adblockplus.jar
components/nsAdblockPlus.js
components/nsAdblockPlus.xpt
defaults/pref/adblockplus.js
defaults/pref/adblockplus_extra.js
kplugins/adblockplus.dll

It will register nsAdblockPlus.xpt automativcally. It did also register adblockplus.jar in the rdf file but not in the installed-chrome.txt.
If any is missplaced do so manually.


Now I also tetsed with 1.1. It does not support this beta yet.
I went so far to generate a manifest file for the German version.
The automatic start is not triggered.

guenter, K-Meleon 1.1 is only supported by the development builds, see http://adblockplus.org/development-builds/k-meleon-11-compatibility-issues-fixed

The registration should happen fully automatically, usually it is really only necessary to unpack the files.

I confirm that all went automatic for 1.1 after I unpacked to the right place.

p. s. AFAIK only chrome.dll & xpt are based on Firefox paradigm.
