i negated the "would u like kmeleon as std browser" question at the first start, now it doesnt pop up anymore.
but after using it some time ive started to like it and would like to set it as default browser, how to do that afterwards under winxp?

press F2 for advanced preferences, choose browsing on the left, press the "set as default browser" button.

alternativly you might click the setdefault.exe in the k-m install dir.

btw, at the url bar the auto-fill-in function is very usefull, in firefox and ie that also works for google and all other pages where u fill in a line, somehow not with kmeleon, also a very simple switch i missed? )

Yes, "autocompletion" is available with K-Meleon.

From the Menu:

Edit -> Advanced Preferences ->
on the left under Category press Browsing then Finding Websites ->
on the right press URL Bar tab ->
under URL Bar Autocompletion ->
check Find fitting pages from URL Bar History as you type ->
and if you choose Autocomplete as you type

thx alot, works for the url bar now.

but iam wondering, if u fill in e.g. search tasks @ google or some forums, or if u fill out a form to order something, firefox automaticly saves it and displays is as soon as you write the same beginning letters. not only on url bar but everywhere on pages, out of passwords of course, same possibly in k-meleon?

otherwise k-meleon is really much better than firefox, firefox always took at least 90mb @ task manager, k-meleon only uses around 20mb. also firefox often started to use 100%cpu, never happened with k-meleon so far!

Autocomplete of forms and managers like recent Firefox has is not implemented.
