Re: 1.02 after upgrade to v 1.8.1.2
"Manage Profiles" dialogue box pops up every time K-Mel is launched.
(I do not use multiple profiles) "default" is highlighted. I un-check "Ask At Startup", Click OK and K-mel launches.
All subsequent K-Mel launches display same dumb "Manage Profiles" box, and "Ask At Startup" box is checked again.
Is there any way to avoid this? A minor inconvenience, but a bit annoying.

You can try download and repatched it: (first experimental patch versions had some problems)

I remake my EXE patch and re-upload in the same link:

Change Log:

- Added some files in \components folder that may generated errors if K-Meleon not found.

- The Patch moved to backup folder (\PatchWise.bak), if this exist, or delete olds and generated files not needed. This files may generated errors in K-Meleon.

P.D: I detected that "Profile ask" problem success when you copy all K-Meleon folder in other path. (can be needed some registry entry)

I believe that (K-Meleon1.02_UP_1.8.1.2.zip) is the patch that I upgraded with.

Open the browser once and do not remove the
hook at "Ask at startup", but simply press the
OK button.
After the starting, go in the menu to
Edit-->Manage Profiles, and remove there the hook
at "Ask at startup"and press then OK.
This should solve the problem.
People, that get an additional error message
after the popping up of the Profiles window
at the start, have a missing file nsprefm.dll
in the folder components. Adding the missing
dll and deleting there compreg.dat and xpti.dat
to have them recreated after a restart, should solve
their little problem as well.
But both of these little faults will not keep the browser
from working properly.

I don't understad, nsprefm.dll file is prefmigr for SeaMonkey, not needed for K-Meleon. This file is not included in no K-M distribution or version, after or before to GRE 1.8.1.2.

Yes, my exe patch do it this, because is nedded generated it with the new files.

Tried the above. No change.
Functionality of browser is not compromised, just a bit of an annoyance.
(My little green lizard is just a bit sick)

The file nsprefm.dll is only needed in the versions
K-Meleon-Linux-usable-1.8.1 .
There, you get an error message :
"The profile cannot be loaded"
if you do not have nsprefm.dll in components.
This does not concern K-Meleon 1.02, where you
only get a profile question to click away.

Finally DL'd and ran latest (?) K-Meleon1.02_UP_1.8.1.2.zip file.
No change.
