After having Internet Explorer7 forced on me via automatic udates
(you can't ged rid of it) I have tried all Browers Firefox, Opera, Safari
when I happened to stumble upon K-Meleon.talk about pleasant suprise!
Im not kidding when I say it's the best Browser I have ever used
I wish I had known about it before!

you can easily get rid of ie7. just go to control panel/add remove list.

blip!! there it goes.

done it on all of my machines.

you can then even go to your windows folder and delete the ie7 update folder.

I want to realize an italian version of kmeleon release 1.1, in particular the installer.

I've already translated all resources linked here:

In [install] folder i've added k-meleon extension setup (a file nsis) translated personally in italian following common instructions... please can you explain me what is this k-meleon extension setup in some words?

Another thing, don't publish immediately this 'future' installer, I wanna make some tests before.

Quickly, but there may exists some other problems:

i10n.js:

If italian uses A4 instead of Letter, comment Letter, and uncomment A4
Privacy: it-IT and it instead of en-US and en

Search.xml:

You can translate the name of the engines, and change some. No obligations

readme.html:
-----------
Really a bad idea to edit it with MS Word.
Use Kompozer or Nvu instead (KompoZer is better)

kml files:

the lines must be like this:

instead of

For the kml files, may I suggest that IniTranslator might be a convenient application to install? And it can be made portable, i.e., runable from removable drive, by simply copying its install folder. Please check:

An admirable endeavour! :-) How do you manage to get your Windows patches?
That's the only reason I keep IE6 on my XP machine!

This was my reason not to get rid of IE, but now there's another reason: the new Windows Live Hotmail is very unstable under K-Meleon, sometimes it freezes (the web page, not the browser).
