As I found a bug in menu detection in DownloadWith, I decided to rewrite it to have no dependancie of the code beetwwen two downloaders kmm.

I use a new way to detect the presence of a menu. This method is better for the reason I give before.

I decided too do the same work on OpenWith macros (opera, seamonley, ...)

I've corrected a bug on Seamonkey detection (in the same way that I do with Opera).

So the extensions updated are :

Firefox
Flashget
FreshDownload
IEtab
Opera
OrbitDownloader
Seamonkey
Wackget
wxDownload

Added too:

Min a skin adapted by guenter.

Warning, you need to delete DownloadWith.kmm which is no more used (in macros folder)

Have I said I was making it ?
The only way is to add this functionnality to the launcher.

I think it's not the first thing we have to do, and the only which can answer is Dorian.

I have read all five pages to this thread and I still have this question. I want to install the "backup profile" unit. The splash screen for the installer says it will install K-Meleon 1.1 I have KM 1.1.2 already running. Does backup profile just add something to my 1.1.2 or does it install 1.1 in place of it?

Sorry not to have update the page but Extensions and skins for 1.1 are also for future versions.

No, the extension setup just install extensions, not the complete browser. Or I'm really a magician to have all the browser in a such little size setup file.

Alain,

I hope you do not believe I am being critical, but I notice that the Flock and Nestcape extensions reference "Firefox" in the description text. Is this what you meant to show in the text description?

Please consider my question as being associated w/ proof-reading.

Thank you very much for your extensions work.

Best regards,

http://perso.orange.fr/jujuland46/JujuLand/KMES/K-Meleon_1.1_Extension_%281.9%B5.0%29.zip
may be this, that work;
http://perso.orange.fr/jujuland46/JujuLand/KMES/K-Meleon_1.1_Extension_%281.9.0%29.zip

and don't work;
http://perso.orange.fr/jujuland46/JujuLand/KMES/KMES190_localization_template.zip

I'm working in rewrite and better NSIS script for skins install.
I send you when finished.

I know you have been sucessful making Firefox entensions run in KM. I saw this one in PCWORLD mag. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file/fid,65414-order,0-page,1-c,browsersclients/description.html
I can't seem to download it because it is an xpi file and I don't run Firefox. It may require xul which I know we don't use. Just thought I would give you a heads up. This is the link to the outfit which made the extension. http://innovation.intuit.com/

I have test with 1.5, and there were a lot of little errors (forgotten ; and others) which seems not to make errors with 1.12, but 1.5 doesn't like it.

Here is a list of the extensions where there are some errors:

-Aspell, FreshDown, GreaseMeleon, km_events, noscript, quicknote, rewind, roboform, SearchBar, togglePlug.

I'll post quickly.

Some little difference for RoboForm, where the layer isn't closed, and the start page/group isn't restored and blanked on quit.

A possible problem with rewind, I'll test it more.

1.5 is still a very early version. If the errors stay?
That will be the price for the benefits.
With Firefox they have to adapt the Exension for every version sad smiley

BTW. The Noscript chrome used together with your macros had faults.

Thumbstrips seems propriety.

K-Meleon can probably not handle printpreview.js. And that is one of the Thumbstrips core elemets. K-Meleon has AFAIK a printer preview based on Windows native functions.

Error Console says.

Error: PrintUtils is not defined

Alain,

I've been using Wackget for just about forever. Had a few issues with downloads recently (it stalled usually at index.html) and have just started to look at using something else.

What do you think about Winget?

N

I don't use it, but someone which use Winget can answer.

I personnaly use Orbit Downloader.

In my setup, I just add a right-click menu. It has the advantage of being launched only when we want, but the disadvantage of its non automaticy.

With Orbit, adding the plugin which can be found under Orbit folder (in a subfolder, I think), it now automatic, but sometimes, I don't know why, it's K-Meleon which answers (probably when the download address is not the real address and is redirected (SourceForge makes it). If the redirection doesn't answer enough quickly, K-Meleon take the download, else the downloader accept the redirection, and the file is downloaded by the downloader.

The plugin has sometime some inconvienent with some hidden redirection, and download a bad file.

Before I used Freshdown and an accel was working with Firefox, and I added it in K-Meleon to bypass the downloader and force K-Meleon to download.

The trick was to create a macro which launch the command ID to download.
The accel was Alt-Left-Click

I think that I have put it in Freshdown.kmm, but not in the others.
