I found this tip for Seamonkey but it doesn't work for K-Meleon, why?

How do I make favicons appear everywhere possible?

For favicons to appear in every possible place, including those of sites you haven't visited in
years, enter about:config in the location bar.
Search for the preference browser.chrome.favicons.
Modify the value to true.
Search for the preference browser.chrome.load_toolbar_icons.
Modify the value to 2.

So what are the values for the second preference?
0 = never, 1 = when in cache, 2 = always

Because K-Meleon is having a native Windows GUI, no chrome GUI like SeaMonkey.

Shucks!

I guess you can't have your cake and icing all the time.

I found if you set browser.chrome.favicons to "true" K-Meleon will load "favicon.ico" from the root directory of a domain when the webpage doesn't have a favicon set, whereas it won't do this if browser.chrome.favicons is set to "false."

Some websites don't set the favicon in html, so browser.chrome.favicons needs to be enabled for some websites' favicons to show.
