Fullscreen and K-Meleon launch from CD-ROM

Hi,

I'm looking for a version of K-meleon that could be launched from a CD-ROM and in fullscreen mode.

I tested some non-official versions but they don't offer fullscreen mode at launch.

Thanks

PS : Sorry for my bad english,

a french guy

You will find K-Meleon on CD running the Open-CD-Project CD and Ubuntu. These are older K-Meleon versions.

Another older K-Meleon running from Bart's PE CD and its creation receipe also exist.

K-Meleons for portable media should also be good candidates for Your project.

Any K-Meleon will always start with full screen when You place the user pref:

user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.fullscreen.last", true);

into user.js. User can change this during session.

If You use a K-Meleon for SeaMonkey version for Your project ( K-Meleon 1.0 -1.5 = using Mozilla GRE 1.8.x ) You can use the xpcom_core.dll from the SeaMonkey build with the same GRE, because that does not always create an dummy K-Meleon folder in apdata folder on HDD.

You do not have to be sorry about English ( we are not in school - we use the language to communicate - not to correct smiling smiley

Many ppl here are not English - Here You can post in any language where You have a chance to get good answers smiling smiley So You will find French, English, Spanish and German posts. And the chance for good French answers is extremely good, 2 current developers are French smiling smiley

When I have seen your request for a K-Meleon from CD
that starts in full screen, I decided to make an update
of my older, unofficial version, using the new, safe
Gecko engine from Seamonkey 1.1.2, gecko date of 20070511.
I have made two slightly different variations, one of them
opening in fullscreen mode, with a reduced menu.
Both versions are usable in Windows, but also in Linux with
the wine emulator.
Download links in my following, separate post above.

Regards - mes meilleures salutations

Fred

Thanks a lot for you two smiling smiley

I've yet tried this version which appears in the category nonofficialversions.

But I 've one problem with it :

When I launch it i've a message about my logitech mouse and a plugin.

How could I erase this message ?

The kplugin lwheel.dll is only necessary to
make the mouse usable for scrolling in Linux. You can
rename it or delete it in the folder kplugins.
This should stop the message in Windows.

Le kplugin lwheel.dll est necessaire pour
le souris en Linux seulement, on peut le
detruire quand on utilise Windows.

Alternatively You can create an entry in the prefs.js that is in ./defaults/profile

You write ( copy/paste smiling smiley inside:

user_pref("kmeleon.plugins.lwheel.load", true);

This is because this version of K-Meleon does not write inside the used prefs.js file. So You must do it.
