"Skinning" the browser is just changing the look of the browser interface by changing the graphics that you use to display the toolbar buttons, background, etc.

This tutorial explains how to do a basic background change using files from your Windows system:

Of course, you can do more "advanced" skinning using the various skins being posted.

Your not dim, it takes a while to get on to KMand if you want to change the look of KM just post and we'll guide you thru it step by step, no problem.
